Our curriculum and enriched activities encourage discovery and imagination, build independence and self esteem, and plant the joy of learning in every child.

Merging the best of Waldorf, Montessori and Reggio Emilia techniques, the curriculum is designed exclusively for Talents123, encompassing the fundamentals of our philosophy. In partnership with a McGill University Instructor specialized in early childhood studies, our program accommodates the different development levels and unique needs of each child.

Our program

Curriculum built by an early childhood expert

In addition to providing a warm, welcoming and comfortable environment for children, our goal at Talents123 is to give your little ones the best learning experience possible at every developmental stage. Our program is developed in collaboration with McGill University instructor Emma Jane McGillivray, who has over 15 years of experience working with educators and children in the field of early childhood curriculum studies.

Sidestepping the one-size-fits-all outlook

Built exclusively for Talents123 with the goal of empowering educators to help children gain control of their learning experience, our one-of-a-kind program aims to impart the confidence children need to start exploring reading, writing, basic math and relationship-building. During each phase of growth, from infancy to toddlerhood, there are unique opportunities to enrich a child’s mind and nourish their spirit. Our programs respect students’ innate interest in learning and discovery, encouraging children to continue on down a path of exploration and growth. In each of our classrooms, parents will find well-rounded lessons that focus on the development of motor skills, social interaction, intellectual stimulation and practical learnings.

Our philosophy

We draw from three of the leading educational philosophies in the field of early childhood education: Waldorf, Montessori and Reggio Emilia.

From each unique style of teaching, we build on key principles with the goal of offering a comprehensive program focused on the growth of the child as a whole. The result is a holistic approach to learning that nourishes the minds, hearts and bodies of every child.

Waldorf

From the Waldorf method, we draw on the importance of daily routine, housing these lessons in an organic environment that feels natural and home-like to children. We encourage children to play, socialize and explore, as they would in their own space.

Montessori

The Montessori method gives our program a structured path towards achievement, focusing on pre-reading and pre-writing and familiarizing children with the cycle of schoolwork.

Reggio Emilia

We embrace the student-centric teachings of the Reggio Emilia approach, imparting a sense of autonomy on our students with the freedom to explore their unique interests and strengths. In addition, we welcome free discussion and encourage children to articulate their feelings and emotions.

As a whole, our programs all tap into opportunities for learning both inside and outside of the classroom, acquainting children with their surroundings and encouraging a sense of exploration and discovery.
